How We started

Ian Pollard and Tanveer Mirza are joint owners of IT Retail Systems (also known as ITS), forming the company some 15 years ago.

They both agreed that combining there programming skills, and knowledge of the requirements of the convenience sector, they could produce a far superior and comprehensive solution to the ones currently being used within the marketplace.

A whole range of EPoS systems were tested and linked to the newly developed software, in order to develop Microscan for unhappy and disgruntled retailers who had already invested in expensive POS equipment. After many months of hard work, long hours and financial strains, they had the first version of Microscan ready for release.

As the first site began testing, development continued. Eventually more retailers came forward wanting this new system. Even at this stage in the development of the software, Microscan offered more flexibility and greater functionality than the system's it had replaced.

Now some 15 yrs on, we have grown from strength to strength with over 1300 stores currently being supported.
Back In Jan 2005 we were chosen by NisaTodays to provide our systems to all Nisa symbol stores.
We are approved suppliers to Spar Scotland, (bestone), Premier and Nisa DayToday.
